Summary
Our client is a company specialising in developing and marketing high value, commercial software applications for automated banking and e-commerce. Since its inception in 1997, the company has gained a reputation for producing exceptional software and customers include most of the leading organisations in the financial services, utility and telecommunications sectors.
The company was recently ranked 18th in the 2003 Deloitte European Technology Fast 500, a listing of the 500 fastest growing IT companies in Europe and was the third highest placed UK company. However, rapid growth has not been the company`s over-riding business objective. Instead we have focussed on innovation and profitability through customer retention and have generated healthy profits in each of our seven trading years.
The role
The objectives of this role are to:
Manage customer and partner implementation projects
Attend customer or partner sites to provide consultancy, installation, training and support services,
Agree scope, content and timescales for implementation projects with the customer or partner,
Track and monitor actual time spent on customer work,
Liaise with other departments to identify and resolve technical, operational and commercial issues and ensure that customer expectations are managed and requirements can be met,
Back-up the support team to provide an effective technical and application support to customers and partners,
Proactively identify process improvements,
Carry out project tasks assigned from time to time.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have been working in a Bacstel*Bacstel IP based environment in a support*test role
The successful candidates will need to possess the following attributes:
3-4 Years? experience of providing external implementation*installation services for software products,
Experience of working for a software house or financial organisation preferred,
Probably educated to degree level or equivalent,
Commitment to meeting customer expectations and deadlines,
Able to communicate effectively internally and externally with people in all departments, at all levels and with different abilities,
Good organisational skills and time management,
Understanding of the concepts of embedded software modules and APIs,
Ideally able to read*write code (any of Java, C*C++, Visual Basic or Cobol).
